I just wondering in which context did your friend say that?
langsung , as what yuyuyu said, is direct or straight forward or something like that

please count 1 to 10 in bahasa.

I think there are similarities with malay language and filipino dialect.

like the word 'ini' (w/c means 'this' ) is a common expression in all visayan and cebuano dialects here in the phils.

i believe nations within south east asia region do have similarities in their language because i think they rooted from the same ancestor.
CyberJake, you may be surprise when i tell you that the javanese people name tujuh as pitu & delapan as wolu .... very much closer to pito & walo in Tagalog....
