Well ...
My surname is Hardjodikromo and I'm Javanese. A lot of my friends also have surnames with kromo in their name. Some of them have kromo in the beginning of the name and some at the end. Most of the time there's a "O" at the end that sounds like "ohh" ...

But lots of Javaneses don't have last name. Bataknese in the other hand should put the last name.

Batak people even keep their family tree history,
they can even track down their ancestor till centuries ago I've seen one of their family tree chart...amazing so far the young Javanese have all surename, at least those that I know of |
