do you guys know of any places that accept undergraduate college students? i heard theres a law that you must have a bachelor's degree is that true? im trying to go for the summer but i cant seem to find anywhere where i fit the requirements (ba/bs,tefl certification, etc) and most places want long-term and i can only stay for summer.

Try an internship, or a study abroad program...

yeh i have the same problem - everywhere will require a degree.. and also i need mandarin lessons too :P

check this out. I just got a job to save up for the year long trip :10900: ........ (and mandarin lessons hehe :11900: )

i think the idea is to go to china to persue OTHER ppls education :P
hence the name "teaching english in china" rather than "going to school in china" keke

well I know someone teaching english that dont' have a degree it's ok if you don't have one.as long as you are native speaker.but sometimes it requires western people..they say foreigners.
try this site www.thatsbj.com it will show you what people want to hire english teacher in beijing.

i don hv such problems..co in singapore,although most of our subject is educated in english,but we have chinese lessons too..so it is said that we singaporeans knows 2 language at least..

^ya if you wanna teach in a big city universities you have to have a degree.but if it's in rural countryside it doesn't matter.
