Did anyone get a chance to see it? It's directed by a Vietnamese guy I think. I think it screened sometime in Minnesota earlier and a bunch of other film festivals. Winner of 2006 Golden Kite Awards (The national film awards in Vietnam) for Best Film, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actress, Best Cinematography so it's gotta be good quality.

Set in a breath-taking primitive landscape in the mountainous provinces of Vietnam, the film tells the story of a Hmong tribe girl named Pao. She was raised by her stepmother, for her real mother left her when she was little. One day, her stepmother dies in an accident, and she begins to track down her birth mother. But her journey turns out to disclose an unsealed sentimental drama of the family in the past. [/b]

I hear it's in Hmong (don't know which dialect) with English subtitles.
