What Drives People Toward Suicide?

I am sure everyone will concur with me that you have to be in pretty desperate situation to even consider suicide let alone attempting it. I used to think suicide is mostly done by people with poor background.
However, based on what I read on newspaper, suicide doesn't discriminate. It is done by people from pretty much all background, including CEO, celebrity, and chancellor of university!
I am sure everybody goes through good and bad times. Some have it tougher, some have it easier. Why do you think some people commit suicide? Does it mean the person is weak-minded? Can suicide be justified if he/she did to be free of his/her unbearable pains?

I think its stupid that ppl suicide...whats the worth...yea..ppl get depressed and dont wanna live anymore...but so..that happens to everyone and yet..do something about it..not take away something that is important to you.

Hmmm...am i saying something rubbish?

Well whether im right or wrong...thats what i think.

in our sociology class we discussed about suicide. it was a research that people who are prone in committing suicide are the jesuit peoples and the rich peoples that has less intimacy. people who commit suicide because of too muche depression in their self and no one can talk to with that. some teens committ suicide because of heartbreaks and betrayal/

suicide is really sad
but i don't think that people who commit suicide are weak minded. i think that some of them are stronger than a lot of the people that pity them for weakness. i hate how a lot of people look down on people who commit suicide. it's really tragic and sad
when we're talking about suicide, i don't justification is applicable. i believe that there is no right and wrong. it's your life- and even if it is stupid to take your life, in the end it's up to you.
i don't think it's weird that people from all backgrounds commit suicide. even rich and successful people feel lonely, or worthless, or hopeless, or whatever reason makes them sad. sometimes it's a hormonable unbalance or something, so they really can't help it. (unless they take pills)
